About us

One big current project is creating a portfolio of five pieces to submit to the Cambridge Artists Cooperative monthly jury. That's going to be a collection of copper pipe stuff-- CD racks, end tables. Three-and-a-half mostly done, one-point-five to go. Uh oh. Finishing them's the trouble. They want polishing and varnishing, or they go a sort of brown I don't care for but some do. Maybe next month.

(Yep, next month. It's warm enough now to do the finishing outside!)

And after that, if it doesn't work out, you'll see them on the site mid-month...

((And now it's fall. That brownish is growing on me... even as it grows on the tables...))

And I've finally started a bookshelf for myself. (Designs/photos when appropriate.) Copper pipe with ash shelves. Each tier will have a sort-of-forward low shelf for objects/curios and a taller sort-of-rear shelf for books. This is clearly going to be a shelf for occult and art books and tarot decks and things like that. (Maybe paperbacks will fit on the short shelves?)

I've got another idea for shelves for occult books, though. It'd start with some plain (unfinished pine?) shelves, with a couple areas finished scorched/torched near some hull-breach, and lots of magical trappings for keeping the stuff on the shelves contained. Barbed wire, locks/chains. Searchlights? Some sort of guardian/watchman entities. Appropriate runage.

Here's the brainstorming center - prototypes put together (not permanently) from secondhand pipe that used to be a friend's furniture:

These are two random 3D objects:

Here are four shots of a plantholder table, maybe:

The rest are prototypes for -- well, mostly table tops.
