Sized as a tight or medium choker, there are interesting bits most of the way around the neck. If sized tight enough to sit far up on the neck, the dagger beads may want to flip as it settles down. (Ameliorate that by settling it yourself when you put it on.)

A bit longer, either sized this way, or sized small and fitted with an extender chain of 2-4", more of the complicated bits show in front. The looser this hangs, the less tension on the heart, and so the more pronounced/deep its top center dent. Some feel this makes it look more heartlike,x some less.

And the thing even works relatively well this long, except the daggers (and at some length the boxy links) tend to flip over. If a necklace sized as a tight choker (minimal built-in chain) is worn with a long extender chain, the clasps will show at the top of the shoulders (visible in right-hand photo).
